One OK across the app

In the app, one OK covers Kai, voice in rooms and games, Nearby, Mood Match and finding friends from your contacts. You give it once. You can withdraw it in Settings, Privacy, Your consent.

What you share with Kai

When you use Kai, what you share with us is sent to trusted third party services, including AI services, in a secure environment, to make Kai's replies.

This can include your name, messages, voice, photos, files, recent chat in a room or game Kai joins and, for Astro, your birth details.

Kai in rooms and games

When Kai is in a room or at a game table, Kai reads the recent chat to follow along. Kai never sees anyone's cards or a quiz answer.

Recordings

We record live rooms and public game tables. When you speak in a room with other people, or at a public game table, your voice and anything played into it, such as room music, are recorded so the session can be played back later. Private game tables and one to one calls are never recorded.

When Kai answers a call

When Kai answers a call for someone, the caller is told first. If the caller keeps talking, the call is recorded and saved as a voice note for that person. Kai tells you this before you speak.

Nearby and Mood Match

Nearby uses your approximate location to show you people around you, and to show you to them. It works only when you choose it.

Mood Match uses your mood and profile to suggest people to talk to. It works only when you choose it.

Finding friends from contacts

LetsChat checks which of your contacts are already here. The app turns each number into a scrambled code that cannot be turned back into the number. Only the codes are sent. The numbers themselves never leave your phone.

What Kai keeps

Kai keeps what you ask Kai to keep, like reminders and resume details, until you delete them.

Kai also remembers a few things you tell Kai about yourself, like what to call you, where you live or work, family you name, what you like and plans you mention, and you can see or clear them in Settings, Kai, What Kai remembers.

Turning your OK off

You can turn this off any time in Settings, Privacy, Your consent. Features that need this OK stop working until you agree again. These include Kai, voice in rooms and games, Nearby, Mood Match and finding friends from your contacts.
